I am very excited to announce that the annual Merle Made Calendar is now available to pre order.
For 2022 I have taken the Moon as my inspiration. Across the world and many cultures and tribes, people have named the full moons that appear in the sky every month. Often these were based on what was observed to be happening in nature at the time of each full moon so that in April the full moon might be called the Budding Moon, or the Pink Moon while in September it might be the Harvest or Barley Moon. I have chosen to focus on names attributed to Celtic and Medieval Britton but have also interwoven names from other cultures to create a seasonal narrative across 12 brand new illustrations.
